What do you need to learn before going to the drive test?

Safety
Before taking any decision double check for safety.
It is important to prove that you are a safe driver to the testing officers. Make them feel safe in your car. Drive smoothly and safely. Sometimes in any intersection, it may take more time to cross or to turn. It does not matter. Wait and cross when it is safe. You can impress your testing officers only by your safe driving methods.

Speed
It is always good to wipe off 5 km. For example in a 50 km zone, reduce to 45 km. Do not drive in 50 km in 50 zones. It is not advisable. In a steep, your speed may exceed the speed limit. Check your speedometer frequently as checking the internal mirrors.

Over confident and Nervous learner drivers
During the driving test, some learner drivers may feel overconfident and others be nervous. Over confident may not leads to success. They drive faster than nervous drivers. These overconfident drivers may fail the driving test because of taking quick and wrong decisions or driving over the speed limit or forget to do the mirror and head check, etc. Nervous drivers fail because of not listening the instructions or confusion in taking decisions or drive too slowly or forget to notice the speed signs and drive over the speed limit while they concentrate the instructions.

Learner drivers need to be confident during the driving test. They have to listen each and every instruction and follow them. Scan each side and take your time at intersection before turning. Check the internal mirrors at regular intervals(10 to 15 seconds).  Even if you make a mistake do not panic continue  with confident.

Pre-test drive
Two or three days before the driving test, do a pre-test drive in the test route. If you are too nervous driver arrange someone who is not your family member to sit in the rear passenger seat during the pre-test drive. They do not need to give instructions or comments in the end. But it will help you to drive confident during the driving test. You can have more than one pre-test drive with a different person in the back seat if you are not confident after first pre-test.

Pre inspection
On the drive test day, the instructor will ask you to do a pre check. Therefore you need to know how to
switch on the headlight(low beam and high beam), indicator, wiper and washer, front and back demister, hazard lights, horn and also break light. Few percentage of  learner drivers confuse during the pre check. It is, therefore, good idea to practice.

Rest is essential
The day before the driving test goes to bed early. If you do not sleep enough, it will affect your driving during the driving test. It may not look important. But many learner drivers working late night failed. They lack in taking decision during the driving test.

Last minute practice
Do not drive excess on the driving test day. Instead, practice every day. Therefore, last minute driving will not help you. If you have any questions ask a professional instructor.

Overseas driving experience
Overseas driving experience will not help you 100% to pass the driving test. Road rules are varied to even to state to state. Therefore learn the local road rules first and contact any local professional driving instructor to assess your driving. Make sure you follow all local road rules before booking for the driving test.
